Pasta Recipe Scaler
Party pasta means more noodles, more sauce, and more cheese by the same factor. The example scales from 4 to 10 servings — a common pot-luck jump.
Dry pasta weight and sauce volume scale linearly in v1. Taste sauce seasoning after scaling; salt and red pepper often need less than a full multiply.

Scaled from 4 to 10 servings (×2.5)
| Ingredient | Original | Scaled | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| penne pasta, dry | 1 lb | 2 1/2 lb | |
| marinara sauce | 48 oz | 120 oz | |
| ground Italian sausage | 2 lb | 5 lb | |
| mozzarella, shredded | 3 cups | 7 1/2 cups | |
| fresh basil | 1/2 cup | 1 1/4 cups | chopped |
Salt, pepper, and strong spices often need less than a straight multiply — taste as you go.
Scaled amounts are arithmetic estimates. Adjust to taste, especially for salt and spices.
