1 Bedroom Rental Inspection Checklist, Free PDF
One-bedroom rentals are the most common apartment layout — separate bedroom, living room, kitchen, and full bath. This one-bedroom rental inspection checklist layout lists typical items in each room (closet, blinds, disposal, exhaust fan) with side-by-side condition columns.
Use at lease signing and again at move-out. Controls below toggle optional exterior or garage sections, add blank rows, or switch to move-in-only.
Two- and three-bedroom forms are linked below for larger units.
One-bedroom walkthroughs focus on moisture and ventilation: open bathroom fans, run the kitchen range hood, and check closet corners with your phone flashlight. Photograph scuffs at baseboards before furniture arrives so deposit disputes reference dated images, not memory. Test every window latch—studio conversions often swap crank handles. Note mailbox keys and laundry card numbers on the signature block even if the landlord says they will email later. Room-by-room photos should follow the order printed on the sheet so reviewers compare apples to apples at move-out.
A condition record, not a legal form. Security deposit rules and inspection requirements vary by state and by lease.
